contact info PLEASE NOTE: we are usually booked at least a week out, often 2-3 in the summer. it is best to PLEASE CALL IN ADVANCE to make an appointment for any large jobs, turnaround time is only a day or 2 if you are booked in. if you just drop by for a tune-up, we have very limited storage space, so we will set a date and ask you to come back on the day of your appointment. small jobs can often be accomodated as a walk in, but it doesn't hurt to check before hand, especially in the summer time! so if you are planning a big trip and want work done before you go, remember to leave a good chunk of time to give us notice! HOURS are: OPEN 2:00-6:00, tuesday-friday OPEN 12:00-5:00 saturday CLOSED sunday & monday that does not mean we work a 4 hour day, as many people like to tease us about :O) as we told you in our introduction, we do not operate exactly like all other retail stores. in order to actually get the work done for you, we need more closed hours of uninterrupted time. or else we cannot exist at all! we know it is not a perfect solution, but the other options are: B- hiring mediocre mechanics and pumping out 10 crappy tune-ups a day/person... not an option (that is, for the record, how most all shops function). C- by appointment only, but that would be even more inconvenient for you D- closing our doors altogether :O( if i were you, i'd pick "A". we have tried hiring staff, but they have been unable to maintain the quality you have come to expect from us. we have tried working 16 hour days, but that is not sustainable, and the studio cannot continue in that vein. so we remain a one woman show. until that changes (and it may never) we hope you will be understanding. we do our best to accommodate everyone's needs, but we also have to look out for our own. we pride ourselves on the QUALITY of work we do here. if you have heard it is worth the small inconvenience, it is :O) our address is 247 union st. this is on the adanac bike route, between main and gore (chinatown/strathcona) come in anytime to chat about a new bike or hand built wheels, pick up a helmet, lock, or lights, check out the most killer handmade leather saddles and wooden fenders on the market, or browse some some of our funky components - loads of track hubs and cranks, chris king headsets, thomson stems, paul brakes, colored chains and much much more :O) just FYI, there is still no computer in the studio, so if you need to reach us please call! if you send an email we won't get it till late that night. and we are inundated w/ emails, so they often don't get answered... sorry! generally phoning during open hours gets your fastest reply. you can leave a message but we don't always have time to call back, so just try again! jett grrl bike studio 247 union st. vancouver, BC V6A 2B2 tel:(604)255-5097 email:jett_grrl@hotmail.com
